{Snow!}

I think my husband and I spread ourselves a little thin this weekend, but man was it a blast! We bought our very first appliances.  Most were included with the house except the fridge.  It was really exciting to pick everything out and order it. You feel so grown up when you have to do stuff like that...or at least we do.  It's pretty funny.  We got snow in the mountains, so our friends decided it was perfect time for a Jeep run.  We took 4 Jeeps up and made a fire.  This was my first snow run and it was a lot of fun! I want to do it again really soon.  Our friends Adam and Mindy were also kind enough to let us shoot some of their guns, which was my favorite part.  It was my first time shooting a 9MM hand gun.  So awesome! I'm not a fan of killing animals, but love to shoot into the mountains and would really love to do some target shooting.  It's so neat.

my hubby makes me laugh like no other

the work group :)
That same evening we got all dolled up in our best 80's fashion.  Our co-worker had a band performance at a Karaoke bar they frequent.  They cover songs from the 80's so the bar held a costume contest. A large group of people from work came out, and it was a great time.  We normally don't go out on the town like that but it was an entertaining night and the band was amazing. Everyone's costumes were so good!  After this weekend we are going to be in no short supply of other busy weekends.  The house is coming along really fast.  We are going to start packing up and moving out! I can't believe how fast a house can be built.  From the first picture we took of our empty lot to a complete structure with cabinets going in within 2 months! I can't wait to share the progress through the pictures we've taken every week.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

{Leopard Nails Tutorial}

Start with a solid color base. I used OPI's 'Chocolate Moose', to create a neutral color scheme.
Add random dots of a brighter or metallic color complimentary to your base shade. I used a Gold Metallic OPI shade so it would stand out from the matte base color.

Now step #3 really takes a steady hand but it's worth it!  Take a black color, I used a cheap halloween black I found in my polish box, and make open ended circles around your spots.  The more uneven your lines are the better! Add some small dots of black to fill in blank spaces to complete the print.

Lastly, coat with a clear top coat like China Glaze 'Fast Forward' to set the design.

A pink and black color scheme would look amazing with this! Give it a try! :]

{Tutorial Try Out}

Evening Lovelies, today was a wonderful day playing hooky from work. ;) I got lots of great shopping and errand running done. I even had time to do a craft project and try out a small hair tutorial.  I get so excited on days when I can actually wear makeup and do my hair. This whole not working thing is awesome, lol, if only I didn't have to go back tomorrow...or make a pay check. Anyways, I saw this post on Pinterest and thought it was so pretty.

All you do is pick out a cute elastic headband, and tuck your hair loosely into the back portion.  I used some bobby pins just so my layers wouldn't decide to stick out.  Give it a try!

{Friday I'm in Love}

Happy Friday! :) I don't work on Fridays so even more room to love them.  The Mr. and I slept in to an ungodly hour but it felt so good. We did unfortunately wake up to clouds, rain, and more dark clouds.  We spent the day vegging and coupon clipping lol.  In the spirit of Friday here are some things I am currently "Loving". :)
School of Hard Rocks...such an awesome color

I can't wait for season 2 and I'm not even done catching up with season 1. I'm watching another episode tonight :)

Just got this in the mail from Amazon yesterday, already loving it.

Addicted, are you?

Salted Caramel Mocha in a red cup...yummm

Anyway, enough ramblings...Sherlock is calling. Night Lovelies!

{All Hallows' Eve}

I hope all you lovelies had an awesome/safe Halloween! The Mr. and I had no dress up fun this year,(lame for Halloween being on a Monday and all) but we did get to have a little fun.
The weekend before Halloween we watched some Duck football from the 50 yard line! Totally a last minute invite, so glad we woke up to that phone call.  We also took my younger bro to see 'The 3 Musketeers'.  We then had a little "Caramel Apple" party and watched the old 'The 3 Musketeers', cause lets face it, the new one is horrid! The old one will always be "winning". ;)  The apples looked good for about 5 min, then the goods kinda slid off! But hey, it was too fun not to try. Next year we should probably look up a recipe. Here are a few snaps

Halloween at our house went a little like this
